SPEL FCS UB Held Thesis Clinic to Help Students Complete Thesis

In the course of our studies, of course, we will certainly be faced with various kinds of problems and challenges, from personal problems to academic problems. Therefore, in striving for the future, we go through the process of studying in university, we certainly need enthusiasm and positive energy to face all of that.
One of the challenges that almost all students experience is difficulty completing a thesis. This is also a fairly common thing to encounter and you are certainly not alone in experiencing problems in this area. To help students overcome this problem, the Study Programme of English Literature (SPEL) Faculty of Cultural Studies Universitas Brawijaya opened a Thesis Clinic.
This program was formed to assist students in completing their thesis activities. In this activity, the students who have taken the thesis are gathered together with the lecturers. Then the students will be allowed to express their thoughts and any problems with the lecturers who are present. With this activity, it is hoped that between lecturers and students will understand each other and can help each other to find a solution together.
One problem that is quite often experienced by students is the incompatibility between students and thesis co-lecturers. In this case, students can pour out their complaints in this program. The clinic also provides a solution to: (1) contact the department to do thesis supervisor exchange. (2) If within 1 year there is no progress in the thesis, the supervisor can automatically be transferred.
In addition, the Thesis Clinic also provides a solution for students who have trouble in mismatching with the chosen title. If students have problems wanting to change the title, they can coordinate with their supervisors again. Then if students are confused about how to make the renewal, the clinic informs them that the thesis can be renewed on the SISO website.
Those are some of the results of the discussion in the Thesis Clinic activity held on January 27, 2023 yesterday. This activity has succeeded in providing answers to the problems faced by students who are undergoing a thesis.
