The Faculty of Cultural Studies continues to improve the quality and quantity of research by its academic community. One of them is through the provision of DPP/SPP research funds to lecturers. In 2022, the research team chaired by Fatimah, M. Appl. Ling with members Isti Purwaningtyas, M.Pd; Istiqomah Wulandari, M.Ed. and Yuni Astuti, M.Pd. conducted a research entitled “Developing e-portfolio for task-based projects to foster self-regulated learning in Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Course”. This research involved 4 students, namely Bagas Aswangga; Elza Bella Nagatha; Thasya Levina Hermantio; Galuh Putri Fitarsah. This research is a case study that analyses e-portfolios as a form of assessment to evaluate student projects in CALL courses. The purpose of this research is to find out whether e-portfolios can improve students’ self-regulated learning in CALL classes. This research uses a qualitative approach using narrative inquiry. Data were collected through classroom observations as well as e-portfolio documents and student reflections.
This research is expected to provide guidance on how to implement e-portfolios to develop students’ self-regulated learning. This research shows that e-portfolio assignments can improve students’ self-regulated learning. Therefore, the researchers suggest that e-portfolio can be used as an assignment or assessment method in any course. The results of this research have been presented at the ICONLATERALS International Conference held at FIB on 5-6 November 2022. In addition, the dissemination of research results is also carried out through a book entitled “Fostering self-regulated learning through E-Portfolio: Students’ Work in CALL Course” published by MNC with ISBN978-623-175-134-8.
