Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA)

A scholarship program that is part of the series of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) or the Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus held by the Ministry of Education Culture of Indonesia. The purpose of the scholarship program is to provide students the opportunities and experiences to forward their studies by doing study in various universities abroad with fully funded by the Indonesian Government. Brawijaya University also sends the students to participate in the IISMA scholarship program. The scholarship’s registration is intended for college students who are in the four to six semesters.

There are 8 students from the Study Program of English Literature Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB) who obtain the IISMA scholarship program from 2021 until 2022 and they have already departed to study at the universities that they choose.

Federation University

One of the Double Degree programs held by the English Literature Study Program Universitas Brawijaya with its partner, namely the Bachelor of Arts Federation University Australia, the Double Degree at Federation University has been started since 2020 and continues to this day, this program takes 5 months to complete the filing. such as transcripts of advanced grades from semesters 1-4, high school diplomas, passports, delivery of IELTS certificates, offer letters from overseas campuses, visa documents, and other preparations.

Students who have met the requirements can take part in the Double Degree program at Federation University and take certain courses which will later be converted to courses in the English Literature Study Program, Universitas Brawijaya.

University of Queensland

The Double Degree Program is in the form of a partnership relationship between Universitas Brawijaya (UB) or Brawijaya University with the University of Queensland. The program is to provide opportunities for students who have the desire to do two major studies at the same time without applying the break time of study at Brawijaya University. The Double Degree Program itself is a program that is part of the International Program provided by the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB).

The Double Degree Program’s registration opens in August 2020, while the study activities will start in February 2021.

University of Southern Queensland

USQ Virtual Advanced English for International Communication 2021 is a collaborative program between the University of Brawijaya’s English Literature Study Program and one of its partner universities, the University of Southern Queensland, held on 12 July – 30 July 2020 online via Zoom media, this activity starts at 08.00 until 11.30 WIB, this activity is intended for all students, both regular class and international class.

By holding this program, it is hoped that students can expand their knowledge, especially about Australian culture and increase academic knowledge through interaction with native English speakers.

The International Conference Entitled Language, Literary, And Cultural Studies (ICON LATERALS) is a forum for academic, literary, linguistic, and cultural activists or practitioners, as well as the public, to present and discuss issues in the fields of language, literature, and culture. ICON LATERALS has historical roots in the Study Program of English Literature as the organizer of the 1st and 2nd ICON LATERALS, before being managed in the 3rd year by the Department of Languages and Literature. The third ICON LATERALS presents and brings vibrancy and novelty to multidisciplinary discussions in the context of Language, Literature, and Culture as a form of contribution of ideas, beliefs, solutions, and propositions to global phenomena, with the main theme: Building Interdicipline Perspective in Literature, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies. In this Conference, the Department of Languages and Literature marks cooperation with Prof. Tony McEnery (Distinguished Professor of Lancaster University), Prof. Michael Harrington (Honorary Associate Professor of University of Queensland), Karl Ian Uy Cheng Chua, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of Ateneo de Manila University), Li Yunjing, Ph.D. (Associate Professor of Tianjin Foreign Studies University China).
