Kakang Malang as an Outstanding Student of the 2021 English Literature Study Program

Universitas Brawijaya’s student from the 2021 English Literature Study Program, Elang Orvala Tony Putra, was chosen as Kakang Malang City 2021 and Malang City Traffic Ambassador 2021 through an election that made by the Malang City Kakang Mbakyu Association. The event was held from 7 September to 13 November 2021.

Elang Orvala Tony Putra competed with 42 semifinalists through various selections; written tests, psychological tests, interviews, and talents, on Sunday 3 October 2021, then continued with the Semifinal 1 selection stage on Friday 8 October 2021 with an interview session. The last Semifinal stage 2 on Saturday 9 October 2021, with an in-depth interview selection, the winner was announced on the Malang City Disporapar YouTube live streaming channel on Saturday 13 November 2021.

Quoted from the @Kangyumalang Instagram, Department of Youth, Sports, and Tourism of Malang City made this election to stimulate Malang City tourism by promoting it with Kakang and Mbakyu that had selected. In its realization, Elang Orvala Tony Putra has carried out various activities with the Malang City Police and helped promote leading tourist destinations in Malang City by attending the 2021 Malang Flower Carnival (MFC) event.
