In the last November, mainly on Saturday, November 13th 2021 the Dosen Berkarya (DOKAR) team from Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Unitersitas Brawijaya (UB) held a mentoring event that focus on teaching and research fields at the Politeknik Angkatan Darat (Poltekad) Jawa Timur.
Lead by Sahiruddin, Ph.D. as the executive chief of DOKAR’s program outside Universitas Brawijaya (UB), DOKAR FCS UB team follow up the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Universitas Brawijaya (UB) and Politeknik Angkatan Darat (Poltekad) Jawa Timur on July 29th 2020. After several conferences and communication between the two of them, on August 12th, 2021 the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) already reach out.
Several FCS lecturers who are incorporated in the Dosen Berkarya (DOKAR) program were asked to organize the mentoring and consultation event regarding the teaching and research in Poltekad Jatim that used to be an embodiment of the commitment and also follow up the previous agreement. Through this event, Poltekad hoped it could strengthen the cooperation between the two of them and UB and gain synergy in the insight and development of learning mainly English together.
As the leader of this event, Sahiruddin, Ph.D. expected the participation of FCS lecturers during the event could be build up the tight cooperative relationship that exists and contribute to each other as mutually in language development mainly in the English language.
The list of English Literature’s lecturers that took part during the event are Sahiruddin, Ph.D., Hamamah, Ph.D., Aris Siswanti, S.S., M.Pd., Tantri Refa Indhiarti, M.A., and Rizki Nufiarni, M.A. also the other FCS’ lecturers participated in this event. Moreover, UB supports this event by creating the DOKAR’s program to assist the lecturers of UB to work outside UB even in industry or another institution.
