The enthusiasm of the spectators in the Cultural Flag Carnival was as great as the parade participants who wore various traditional clothes from regions in Indonesia. They welcomed parades enthusiastically. There were also several spectators taking part in the parade.
The march was applauded by the people seeing it. There were even some riders who got off their bikes to watch the parade. They also captured it with their cameras.
After the carnival, there were several local cultural performances conducted by students of the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FCS) Universitas Brawijaya (UB). The spectators looked happy and some of them participated in the performance.
They considered the event to be lively and hoped to have a positive impact on students. “This event is interesting, but the important thing is to make students love their own culture,” explained one of the spectators.
The Cultural Flag Carnival is one of the series of the 10th Anniversary of FCS UB which was held on Thursday (10/24/2019), followed by the academic community ranging from students, educational staff, lecturers, the dean and vice deans of FCS UB around the UB campus. (DT/MSH/Humas FIB)
