The Faculty of Cultural Studies Brawijaya University received a visit from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Al Azhar Indonesia on Friday (1/3/2020). This event is a comparative study from FCS UAI with the aim of deepening knowledge and adding insight about the Department of Language and Literature FCS UB, especially the English, Chinese and Japanese Literature Study Programs in improving the quality of learning, as well as establishing cooperative relationships.
The event began with remarks by the Dean of FCS UAI in the Meeting Room on the 6th floor of Building A FCS UB, Dr. Faisal Hendra, M.Ed. “Hopefully this gathering can provide new value for us, and it doesn’t end with today’s meeting but there will be a follow-up in the future, whether it’s a joint seminar, joint research, making a joint book and so on,” he stated.
The Dean of FCS UB also gave a speech, Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA. “We really look forward to cooperation. To be advanced and better, we cannot be alone, we should work together and advance together,” he stated.
Speakers from the English Literature, Chinese Literature, and Japanese Literature Study Programs continued the event. English Literature Study Program was represented by the Head of English Literature Study Program, Isti Purwaningtyas, M.Pd., Chinese Literature was represented by Diah Ayu Wulan, M.Pd. as Chair of the Chinese Literature Study Program, as well as Japanese Literature by Efrizal, M.A. After the presentation of the material, the event continued with discussion, question and answer session.
