Faculty of Cultural Studies Brawijaya University received a visit from MAN 1 Banyuwangi on Thursday (01/23/2020). The visiting delegation, which included about 150 students and teachers, was warmly welcomed in the Hall of Building A FCS UB at 11 a.m. The study visit conducted by MAN 1 Banyuwangi aims to provide new perspectives and information about UB, particularly FCS UB.
The event was opened with a speech from Teguh Prasetyo, S.Pd. as a representative of MAN 1 Banyuwangi. “The purpose of this activity is to open new insights, new perspectives, explore new information so that in the future students can get new opportunities, new knowledge that can lead them to get better guidance,” he stated.
“Campuses are different from one to another. It is hoped that these differences will add to the insight that each campus has different policies and opportunities. Surely, everyone has different characteristics and specialties,” he explained to the students.
The next event was welcome remarks from Isti Purwaningtyas, M.Pd., Head of Study Program of English FCS UB. “It is very nice to be able to accept you. Hopefully, this meeting is useful and you can continue your education to FCS UB,” she said to the students.
Next was a group photo session between FCS UB and teachers from MAN 1 Banyuwangi. Then continued with a briefing activity containing material about the Study Program, Departments, Facilities, etc by Isti Purwaningtyas, M.Pd and Melania Shinta Harendika, M.A., Coordinator of PSIK FCS UB. The event was closed with a question-and-answer session and quizzes.
