The Faculty of Cultural Studies Brawijaya University celebrated its 11th anniversary at FCS Building A which was also broadcasted online through the Zoom platform and YouTube Live Streaming on Monday (8/10/2020). Several civitas scholars attended the anniversary celebration by maintaining COVID-19 health protocols.
The graduation of students from the Darmasiswa RI Program UB and the FCS Gratitude Ceremony were recorded electronically during this occasion. The event began at 9 a.m., with Arcci Tusita, M.Hum, as MC, and was followed by greetings from Prof. Dr. Agus Suman, SE., DEA., as Dean of FCS UB. The first session featured video screenings of impressions and messages, as well as portraits of Darmasiswa students’ activities at FCS UB, followed by readings of essays and folklore. The leaders of FCS UB presented certificates to outstanding students at the end of the session.
The event went on with the second session, the FCS UB Gratitude Ceremony, hosted by Melania Shinta Harendika, M.A. The Dean gave a welcoming remark, followed by a video with greetings and congratulations from the Rector of UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS., and the FCS UB leaders. The accomplishments of academic staff and lecturers were also announced in the second session, which was followed by the awarding of the selected winners. The achievement of FCS UB through info-graphics video for years, as well as congratulatory videos from the Heads of Departments and Divisions of FCS, were also played in detail.
The cutting and handing over the tumpeng at the end of the event served as a symbol of hope for FCS’s future success and prosperity. After a prayer conducted by Achmad Ruslan Hariyono, S.P., the event came to a close with a group photo.
