The English Student Association (ESA) Faculty of Cultural Studies Brawijaya University held an annual ‘Charity’ event on Sunday (05/03/2020). It is a fundraising event with the theme “Increasing Sensitivity and Concern for Others”. This event was led by Amelia Huda Nur Falah.
This event was held at different locations in the area around Malang, Jakarta, and Sidoarjo. After the funds are collected, the next step is to distribute iftar dishes for online taxi and pedicab drivers. The aim of this event is to alleviate the burden on those in the neighborhood, raise awareness of the significance of helping others, and develop a sense of caring among students and the community toward others.
Students are expected to be able to make positive changes in the community at this social event. As a result, students should not only fulfill academic tasks, but they must also be aware of their role as social control and agents of change.
